One of the most beautiful and elegant Gold Coast wedding venues has to be the Intercontinental Resort. Check out this week’s real wedding feature that showcases the special day of Kyle and Breeanne Brazendale. The couple were married at the Intercontinental Resort, Sanctuary Cove QLD and the photographs from the day are absolutely stunning. Here is their wedding story!
Kyle got down on one knee and proposed on Breeanna’s birthday by a beautiful tree at the local marina, by the water. 15 months later, they tied the knot.
The vibe/ style in which we aimed for consisted of elegance with a touch of vintage.
Besides the moment we were pronounced husband and wife, our favourite moments from the day were our first dance together as husband and wife and the special moments we shared during photos.
There were a few DIY projects incorporated into the wedding. Around the bouquet was a small framed picture of Breeanna’s late grandfather. Also, gladiolus were submerged in water in all centrepieces as this was his birth flower. I wanted it to feel as thought he was with us on such a special day.
All the favour boxes were handmade also.
Breeanna’s family are catholic, so we had a nice short Catholic ceremony with a wonderful Deacon, Mike Jones.
To the both of us, marriage means a lifetime of devotion, honesty, unity and of course love.
The bridal gown. Well, after we come home from Kyle “popping the question” I was straight on my phone searching for the perfect dress. Within a matter of 45minutes I had found it! This dress was at a bridal store 6 hours away. I flew down with my mother and grandmother to try it on 6 months later, and it was perfect. As they get all the dresses made overseas, I was told it would arrive 3 months later. 3 weeks out from our wedding day, it still had not arrived!
I had to put all my trust into a local dressmaker to make me my perfect dress in 3 weeks! Plus alter a veil! She did an amazing job, and I couldn’t have been happier with my unique gown. I also had my mother’s veil altered for my wedding day.
Funny story…. It wasn’t so funny on the day but at least we can laugh about it now. A bridesmaid, groomsmen and the bride come down with a stomach bug the morning of the wedding. An after hours doctor had to make a house call to the resort.
Our advice for other couples planning their magical day is you can never start planning to early! It makes everything so much easier, this includes the bank account! Also, enjoy the day. Don’t stress, it goes way to quick and any little glitches, don’t worry! Take the good with the bad. It only happens once!
